Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Elegant Japanese woven bamboo flower basket for ikebana, late-Meiji, early-Taisho period, c. 1900-1920.  Crafted by Chikuami, a member of a famous basket-weaving family in Kyoto. Remarkably crafted in Chinese style.  Tall, tapered form with meticulous and minute weaving and sweeping handle. Rich, age-old patina overall.  Signature on underside.  Comes with bamboo otoshi tube.  Ideal for use with dramatic floral display. Very good condition.
