Rare Japanese Arita porcelain kaiseki serving dish, Edo period, 17th-18th century. Remarkable item with whimsical handpainting. A simple, pure rendering without self-consciousness displaying exemplary skill and experience. Mark may be stylized version of Fuki Choshun, four Kanji characters representing wealth, nobility, longevity and youth, often used during the Edo period (1603-1867) on Arita and Imari porcelain Very good condition with one chip at corner. Dimensions: 3.75" square.
