Wonderful, old  Japanese black and red lacquer altar stand, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912.  Glossy red and black lacquer with dazzling gilt accents. Elegant scroll-edge top, smoothly curved legs. Handcarved gilt accents.  Marvelous for home shrine, doll, ikebana or art display. Very good condition. Dimensions:  4.5” x 12” x 4.5”.
