Impressive Chinese powder-blue porcelain potiche jar with lid, Ching dynasty in the period of Tongzhi, c. 1862-1874.  Rich in history and color the highly animated décor shows the glory of the Chinese people in battle, as well as their gentler side with beautifully painted birds in fan motif. The rich blue color is dramatic, balanced by the tones of green and coral red.  Very good condition.  Dimensions:  11” high, 7.5” diameter.
